I’ve created a few 2 step direct mail campaigns that were successful. Mostly, the avg response rate for a direct mail campaign hovers between 1% – 2%. However, it really depends on the market. I’ve seen response rates as high as 12% in hungry markets.
Postcards are great to start with because of the cost effectiveness. You can decide if you want to build your own mailing list or buy a list. Look in your mail to see what other companies are mailing. I know for a while companies like ATT and Comcast were mailing the jumbo glossy cards because they get attention.
