By on March 7, 2018 | Comments Off on Job Board Summit Coming to Nashville and London in 2018 Comments

I’m planning on going to the Jobg8 Job Board Summit for the first time ever in Nashville this summer. Hope to see you there.

The Job Board Summit is a two-day event that is designed for the job board industry. It takes place twice a year and brings together a community of industry leaders and the best speakers in the world of job boards.

The next events will be held on July 26-27 in Nashville and on November 8-9 in London.

The Job Board Summit started out as an idea from Louise Grant:

“Why don’t we create an event for job boards to meet-up and really talk openly about shared challenges in the industry?”

Since 2012, the Job Board Summit has evolved to become the world’s largest series of Job Board events outgrowing three venues and is also established in North America. Weeks before our last event it sold out with space for 200 people.

The heart of the summits remain focused for job boards and now includes speakers sharing new insights, plus dedicated networking to ensure attendees make those important connections.

We can reveal some of the speakers confirmed for Nashville:

    Matt Charney – Allegis Group

Fundamental Changes in the Recruiting World

    Chris Adams – Madgex

    Net Neutrality: What Could Happen?

    Melissa Miller – Uber

    Recruiting the Gig Economy

    Jackye Clayton – HiringSolved

Extreme Candidate Personalization: What Makes a Difference?

    Dan Roddy – Deloitte

    Blockchain Recruiting

    Lee Biggins – CV Library

Realizing the Value and Potential of Your Database

If you want to join hundreds of job board professionals from around the world for two days of exceptional speakers, actionable insights and connecting with industry leaders, then our summits are the must attend events of 2018.

  • Who’s Going to TA Tech Orlando?
By on March 16, 2016 | Comments Off on Who’s Going to TA Tech Orlando? Comments

Next month the job board association (formerly known as IAEWS) is holding its annual vendor conference in Orlando under its new name TA Tech. They have rebranded to be more inclusive of talent acquisition technologies not just job boards. For me, it will be my first visit to the event in several years. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with my industry friends.

I go mainly for the networking but if you are a newbie its a great place to make connections and learn. Consider going if you have the time. The event takes place on the weekend which makes it even easier.

  • Come to the IAEWS conference in San Diego March 23rd

Join Chris Russell and other job board execs at the Spring IAEWS event in San Diego held alongside the ERE Conference & Expo.

    Register Here >>

There are plenty of good reasons to attend the IAEWS Spring Member Congress (and bring a delegation of your coworkers, as well). As always, there will be one-of-a-kind opportunities for networking, deal making and peer-to-peer discussions. However, for this Congress, there are at least two other very important reasons for being there:

First, the closing session will feature a panel of HR and recruiting executives from Groupon, Hyatt and DaVita. Entitled The Consumer’s Calculus, their discussion will explore what differentiates a vendor in their mind, which variables have the greatest impact on their decision-making and what changes they expect in both their budgets and strategies in the next 12-24 months. The panel moderator will be Laurie Ruettimann of Punk Rock HR fame.

And second, we have added a special update on the hard fought victory won by the .JOBS Charter Compliance Coalition. You’ll get all of the details on the final weeks that led up to ICANN’s momentous decision that vindicated the IAEWS position on the proposed expansion of the top level domain. In addition, we’ll introduce a number of new initiatives that the association is rolling out to counter some of the claims made about our industry during this debate.

So, don’t delay. Register right now for this very special conference. The discount rates listed below end in less than a week, on March 9, 2011.

The Non-Procrastinator’s Discount saves you over 20% on the registration fee for the IAEWS Spring Congress. Register now and it’s just $235 per delegate. Even better, you can register now for BOTH the Spring and the Fall Member Congress at the same low $235 rate.

The Joint Conference Discount saves you over $600 if you register for both the IAEWS Congress and the ERE Conference that immediately follows it in the same location. Register now and you pay $1130 to attend both events.

Register right now to lock in these rates. Simply click here to reach the IAEWS registration portal As always, we thank JobTarget OneClick for supporting this functionality.

  • Google job board product?
By on October 8, 2010 | Comments Off on Google job board product? Comments

I just received an update about the upcoming IAEWS congress that takes place in a few weeks. In it was this message:

After over a year of testing, Google is about to announce a new product that can significantly ramp up revenues for job boards. And, where have they chosen to unveil it? At the IAEWS Fall Member Congress in Hollywood, Florida, USA on October 26, 2010.

What could it be? You may remember Google’s failure in this space…it was called Google Base. That went nowhere. If this new product is about revenue opportunities perhaps it could be some sort of way to offer Adwords to your customers? Who knows…but I’ll be at the event and I’ll update you on this interesting news.
