I caught up with David Cortez from Professional Diversity Network. They recently added Emissary’s text reminders to their job descriptions to help with traffic. Professional Diversity Network, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPDN), also know as PDN, is a leading diversity recruitment website that connects diverse talent with employers seeking to increase their diversity pipeline.
They also provide a host of other services, including OFCCP Job Distribution, Diversity Staffing and Career Events.
They installed the text reminder code in February 2018. I asked Cortez what impact they have had so far. He said:
Over the past thirty days Emissary has generated clicks on 24% of the texts sent. Almost 12% of those clicks converted into a job apply, making Emissary one of our highest converting sources.
Specifically they had a conversion rate of 24.38% CTR and 11.84% conversion rate over the past 30 days.
When asked if he would you recommend Emissary to other job boards he told me;
We would because as mentioned above, it is one of our higher converting sources (in application start terms). Our goal is to provide our clients with those applies while keeping the cost low, and Emissary has done that for us.
So job board owners (and software vendors), I think its time to get on the texting bandwagon. It is an untapped channel that will boost your traffic and more importantly applies.
