I just got back from TA Tech North America where about 200-ish job board pros, recruitment ad agencies and job traffic players gathered in Charleston,SC for their annual conference.
Peter Weddle led off the event with this great quote: job boards are not dead, they are the ‘tip of the spear’ when it comes to hiring.
In fact, in the recent Greenhouse Software benchmark report job boards performed well in terms of source of hires coming in at 22.6% of all hires right behind company career sites which registered about 34% of hires. Job boards also led all channels in terms of application volume driving 49% of all applications to employers on Greenhouse.
Sebastion Detmers, CEO of Stepstone was the keynote speaker and he spoke about the growth mindset and looking for alternative ways to serve your market. They are starting to experiment with some sort of AI candidate matching on to their job boards. “We need to become a filter” he told the audience, “focus on quality, not quantity” when asked about what job boards should focus on in 2026.
Jobfront [Link] also launched at the event. You can see founder Patrick Martinchek talk about their new AI powered job scraping platform in the video below. They have some decentl cost effective pricing if you need a job feed. Their platform was built with AI first mentality.
Dalia also launched a free service for job boards who need traffic. I will have more details on this next week. I had early access to the product and need to analyze the data before sharing publicly.
