Job board software maker Job Boardly has annunced some new enhancements via an email I received from their owner. One of them is centered around messaging. Here’s a summary;
Introducing the Ultra Plan: On-Platform Messaging, Headless API, and More
Big updates are here for scaling job boards. We are rolling out our new Ultra plan, designed specifically for larger boards and growing teams looking for deeper customization, higher engagement, and fresh monetization channels.
Here is a look at what’s new.
Direct Messaging Between Employers and Candidates
Keep hiring conversations on your platform instead of losing them to third-party inboxes.

- Live In-App Chat: Employers can contact applicants directly from the board, complete with live inbox updates and email alerts. Reading and replying are always free for candidates.
- New Revenue Stream: Board owners can monetize direct messaging by gating the ability to start conversations behind paid employer packages.
- Control and Safety: Includes built-in spam protection, blocking and reporting tools, retention controls, and a dedicated Abuse Reports dashboard.
- Watch video demo
The Headless API
For teams wanting full design freedom, the Headless API lets you build completely custom frontends using modern frameworks like React or Next.js—or embed your board seamlessly into an existing site.
- Browser-Safe and Fast: Delivers jobs, filters, categories, navigation, and blog posts via JSON without requiring an API key.
- Full Backend Continuity: Your core backend still handles payments, job imports, paywalls, and email alerts automatically behind the scenes.
Pricing and Plan Updates
The Ultra plan includes everything in Pro, plus:
- Usage & Support: 5,000 monthly job imports, our highest usage limits, and priority support.
- Pricing: $240/month, or $1,920/year (save 33% with annual billing).
Alongside Ultra, we have updated limits across all tiers so every plan now includes job imports out of the box. These changes currently apply to new subscriptions only; existing customers will receive an update in the coming weeks regarding their current plans.
